Day 18 -- Buenos Aires

Today was meant to be a free exploration day.  Unfortunately virus started to get a grip, and I mainly explored the bed.   Started on antibiotics and puffers Maureen had organised before I left "just in case".  After breakfast got a fit of uncontrollable shivers, so onto the bed, slept for 2 hours and got us feeling a bit better.  Took the SubTe (subterranean) into the Cathedral to look around.  Midday Mass was on, so I sat in side chapel to wait -- but packed cathedral so stuffy I had to leave so I could breathe.

Back to hotel and another nap that normalised things a bit.  Thought of food is making me nauseous, so I took 2 walks around to the restaurant strip looking for a bowl of soup.  (I forgot my wallet first time!). Not on any menu.  So I planned getting a tin at the minimarket and asking McCafe to microwave it for me if I bought a coffee.  No Big Red or any other soup.  So I settled for Maccas .. Order 6 chicken nuggets (only come in 10 or 20) -- and sure enough 6 pulled me up.  Their prices are steep too .. $13 for that meal.

Back home now and feeling settled.  Tomorrow afternoon I have a half day tour of the city. Which will be easy going on bus.  I am annoyed that I have taken so few pictures, but energy just not there.  Hopefully tomorrow better.

The few so far can be seen Here.

Looks very interesting. Don't they have a lift to the SubTe?...ridiculous all those steps. Very healthy snack for dinner! Shame if you don't get to enjoy some local fare before you leave.
Hope you are feeling better soon so you can get back in the holiday zone. oxox
