Had a final breakfast at my favourite FJ Holden cafe, then filled up at a self service fuel stop that was 9 cents a litre cheaper than the regular servos. The drive was uneventful .. Just set cruise control to the speed limit and let the miles roll by. Stopped in Charters Towers for a lunch break and stretch.
Once I reached Townsville, I diverted to the Stockland Shopping complex to find OPSM and have my glasses repaired ( one arm had come adrift). Reached motel at 4 pm. Just back from dinner with classmate Alan Sheldrick, which was a good catch up.

An early night now. In the morning will have a wander around town before I return the car and take taxi to the rail station for the trip home.
