Countdown : Day -1

Amazing how many details have to be attended to before one gets away.  Mail delivery to be stopped; regular accounts set to direct debit; car washed and garaged; library books returned to avoid fines; fridge cleaned out; washing and ironing up to date; and, of course, laying out what has to be packed.

Well, the check lists have been checked and cross-checked!  Boarding pass has been printed.  Medication carefully packaged to placate customs authorities.  Euros have been purchased.  My sister is soon to be here to oversee my choice of travelling wardrobe.  I just have to survive the next 24 hours before take-off without being bored to death by having nothing left to do!
