Adelaide
Thursday: The trip from Broken Hill to Adelaide was unremarkable. Was really ready for breakfast when the “blue” sitting was finally called at 10 a.m. Billed “Big Aussie Breakfast” it lived up to its name. Scenery very flat; once into SA, grazing and then farming areas appeared. We were an hour late into Adelaide at 3.30 pm.
I hopped a taxi downtown, and spent a couple of hours wandering the Central Markets – reputedly the Southern Hemisphere’s largest fresh food market. If you lived in Adelaide, you wouldn’t want to shop anywhere else. The ambled through the Rundle Mall just to renew acquaintances. It is now 7 pm and we are late leaving Adelaide, with the Nullarbor ahead!More pics here
